grog
The seats in my 49 are orginal wool or what appears to be wool, I asked my fater-in-law ( his org car) and said the seats are as he bought it, so has anyone cleaned their seats and if so what have you used to clean them, or should i just give them a good vaccum and call it good, no spots or anything just 57 yrs old..thanks Mark
Rusty_OToole
I would suggest you vacuum them and cover them with seat covers. All the old cars with good upholstery I have seen had seat covers or were stored inside. Sun will kill those seats in a couple of years if not sooner. grog
Rusty....I store the car yr around indoors and have car cover, the only time she's in the sun or outside is on Sat when I take her out. Mark
Guest imported_BaronvonR
I agree a good thorough vacuuming and then keep out of the sun as much as possible....I'm not a great advocate of seatcovers, though....they tend to rub against the original fabric and give it more wear than if you just used them as is....they have lasted this long without anything....BvR
