sosuzguy Posted April 1, 2007 Share Posted April 1, 2007 Bob, This part is discontinued and most of them in salvaged vehicles don't work either. I had a crash course in diagnosing mine in my 85. I spent a good afternoon with a meter and the Cruise section of the service manual to still not find out what was wrong with mine. Later after a nap to think about it, I used the electrical section of the service manual, which was much easier to diagnose and found that I also had a bad connection where the wires hooked up to the brake release switch. GOOD NEWS, you can buy a rebuilt cruise servo for 84 & 85 Cruise III System from A1 Cardone. I could only find one at my local Napa dealer. Others like Autozone & O'Reiley's could not order it. The part number you want is CCR381629 for $109.20 When I had them look up this part they didn't have the 307 showing as an option for 85.
