Marty_Cutler Posted March 20, 2007 Share Posted March 20, 2007 Hi guys from Sydney, downunder.Just undertaking a full rebuild of the 1925 DB, the book say cam timing is exhaust closes at .022 inches past tdc on #1. I just re-read my book, 1924 version, and it is talking about the intake stroke on #1, and #1 exhaust valve closing. On a modern car, inlets usually open before tdc. On my 1930 Austin 7, I installed a stepped key to advance the timing about 4 degrees, works a treat.
