29FD
Are there any differences between the 1929 and the 1930 radiator shells on the Commanders? I'm assuming they are interchangeable, <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> but I just want to make sure. Thanks
montrose
There are 2 different shells, per the parts book, used on the FD cars. The later one is used on cars after car no. 8,018,577 and I do know that these cars have thermostatically controlled louvers in front of the radiator. I have not closely compared the 2 shells to see exactly what the differences are. I do own a FD with the later style shell.Joel
studeboy1930
There is a very nice looking radiator shell on ebay right now if you are interested.
29FD
Yeah, I was looking at that one. Mine is rusted and was hit at some point in time and bent out of shape. Seems like a good price too. Mine has the earlier style shell without the louvres, so I wasn't sure if the one on Ebay was the right style or not.
