Guest Bigboi
I recently found a '31 president 8 in very good shape for sale. Although I dont know much about these cars, I know I fell in love with its looks. The seller has owned for many years and is now tired of it. Judging by conversations and images, the car is complete, sound and a good five footer. Older complete resoration is looking very good. Bright, shiney and complete. Assuming all this is true, can you please provide a "from the hip" valuation of the car? Thank you.

RPrice
I would suggest that you contact the Antique Studebaker Club. They publish a really nice magazine, the "Antique Studebaker Review".Rog
Guest stude8
The 31 Presidents came in two sizes, Model 80 short wheel base and Model 90 long wheel base. Both used the same 337 CID 9 main bearing inline 8 engine. Stude8
Guest Bigboi
Thank you for your help. Suddenly, the seller raised his price to $37,000, so this car will not be mine.
Guest stude8
Value is always tough to judge without all the details on the table. You didn't mention the body style or whether the car had wood or wire wheels, dual side mounts? With wire wheels, dual side mounts and a good engine the car may well be that valuable. On the other hand a base car without those features is not that rare, for some reason there seem to be more surviving 1931 Presidents than model A Fords! Probably because the 9 main bearing engines were very durable and the styling was handsome. Stude8
