Pontiac59 Posted February 6, 2007 Share Posted February 6, 2007 Was the Buick six used in GMC trucks after Buick discontinued using it in 1931? I have a starter which comes up as 1934 GMC six (I think 220" CI) and wondered if it would also fit any models of Buick. Guest Oracle Posted February 8, 2007 Share Posted February 8, 2007 I should be interested to know! By 1934 some Canadian GMCs were using Chevrolet engines. My last information has it that by 1932 US GMCs had moved to 6-cylinder Pontiac engines. However at some stage GMC took on the Oldsmobile 213 unit, it seems as early as 1935, but I have no evidence of any Buick engines being used after 1931.
