sahein Posted September 24, 2001 Share Posted September 24, 2001 I don't know the answer to that question because the type of failure is unknown.<P>What I have seen in the past on old tired transmissions is that when the ring seals and rubber seals are worn and aged, fluid leakage occurs. What often occurs is that more that one gear can be selected at one time causing a mechanical bind. Accelerated wear and destruction occurs when this happens.
