So there is hope for rebuilding the 284

I had a local friend in Austria call Getrag in Germany and speak to somebody who might know remember the 284 Trans in the 16V DOHC TCs. Low and behold, somebody that was there around the same time is still in the company. If anybody was looking for schematics, settings, load, parts, and what tools are needed to rebuild or repair one, it is within reach and only a phone call away when you speak German

I tried contacting four different divisions of Getrag North America and got exactly zero responses <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" /> Maybe the German arm of Getrag is more responsive... As you probably know, I gave up on my 284 and put a more seviceable 523 hybrid with an OBX LSD. Only a few hundred miles so far so durabilty with a 'heavy' FWD chrysler and 300ftlbs is still unknown. Sure shifts nicely though <img src="http://forums.aaca.org/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
