Guest tv56
Hi folks! Next project for the 56 special is torepair the power steering pump and replace the powersteering pressure hose. So I understand the pump canbe repaired with a seal and a few o-rings? Does anyonesell a rebuild kit for the pump? The hose seems a little oddin that it is two hoses in one with a metal coupler joiningtwo different size hoses. Is there a check valve in there?I thought I would have a hose made locally? Any suggestions?ALSO, I have to make note that I now have the proper driver'sside exhaust manifold thanks to Mr. Bob Coker. He went out ofhis way to help me. I have to say being an old mopar guy, allof the buick people I've talked to are great people, wish I'dmade the move to buick a long time ago. Thanks again to you all!Tom Vellozzi
Fred Rawling
The last powersteering hose that I needed was for a 77 Olds. The ones at the auto parts store did not fit. The bend in the metal ends was wrong. I finally went to a hydrolic hose place and had them put a hose on my ends. I do not remember how it happened but the finished hose had metal shavings in it. It is a good thing that I blew it out before installing it.
