Stevie_Wyatt Posted August 21, 2006 Posted August 21, 2006 I have a 1909 Maxwell Model A Runabout. It has a full complement of brass lights (head, cowl & tail) all made by the Westchester Company. Are these correct or should it have Maxwell brand lights? I need to purchase a carbide generator at Hershey this year. What kind should I buy to be correct for the car. Also I have heard that there is a Maxwell registery. How do I join it?
gossjh Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 The Maxwell Registry is listed here under Chrysler Products. Westchester is correct. The 'A' takes a very small generator. There were 4 'A's at the New Castle IN Centenial in 2004. If you fail to get a good contact, I can look someone up for you, but probably after Auburn. I have a friend with an AB.Joe Goss
Guest marcbeau Posted May 2, 2013 Posted May 2, 2013 Hi Steve, I have a pair of original cowl lamps for a 1907-1909 (?) Maxwell that say "Maxwell" on them. They are in good condition but were converted to electric many years ago. They look like they can easily be converted back. My email address is Mardbeau40@comcast.net and my phone # is 508-446-0539.
