52deluxe Posted July 17, 2006 Posted July 17, 2006 there are 6v -> 12v converters i belive jcwhitney carrys them. ive heard they make a rather annoying buzzing sound tho. i could not find it in their online catalog but it might be worth a call.
Guest Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Go to your local electronics store. You need an inverter to change 6 volts to 12 volts. They come in various outputs. I have used them for over 45 years and have never had a problem with them. At one time I had four different ones installed at the same time because I could not get enough wattage from one so I used a different unit for each of my 12 volt acessories. I have never noticed any buzzing from the units or static on my radios.
