I have never seen this engine number ......DSP 12987 stamped on the flat boss where the engine number is suppose to be. Right in fromt of that is a metal tag pinned to the block that says " For Parts Specify Model 219"Anybody have a listing for this one?Thanks,Reg Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
pepstrebeck Posted July 6, 2006 Share Posted July 6, 2006 Does it look like the boss has been ground down and re-stamped? From the photo it looks as though there is a faint "0" past the number 7. Reg Evans Posted July 6, 2006 Author Share Posted July 6, 2006 I don't know for sure if the original number was ground off by a rebuilder but I'm kinda thinking so. Guess I'll have to measure the stroke to see if it's a 218 or a 230. Looks like the casting date down below is 11/8/47 so it's not the correct engine for my 40 Panel.
