Globe ornament installation

I am sending my hood and trunk emblems out to be re-chromed. I had to drill out the four mounting flanges that hold the center globe to the emblems. There isn't enough "meat" to drill and tap for screws.

What is generally done to put the globes back in? I have a few ideas, but I thought I would check with those that have passed this way before.
