Bench seat seatbelts

Hi guys,

I am currently working on a 60 Electra 4 dr. flattop for a friend of mine. He wants seatbelts, along with a bunch of other stuff. The only thing I have a question on so far (YAY) is: has anyone ever mounted seatbelts in a bench seat car, more specifically one that has the fabric that wraps around the bottom, essentially making it a one piece seat? Also, (opinions here) do I run the outer belt outside the seat or up through the middle (outer edge) of the seat. I have mounted seatbelts in my 63 and my 55 is next. FYI http://www.julianos.com has some great looking lap belts with the chrome lift lever.
