Guest BruceW
I may have found a web site that can provide you with some information. If you can read German you are in luck as the web site is written completely in German. I do not understand German well enough to read the site but from what I saw there, it appears to pertain to the type of car you are looking for. However I cannot be sure. The site has many sections including history and contact information about Dixi cars and shows a picture of a 20s era roadster on the main page. There are also references to BMW.
The URL of the website is: http://www.dixikasi.de
I thought it was worth a try.
Hope this helps.
BruceW

Guest
the DIXI was the german version of the Austin 7. In Japan it was the Datsun, in the USA it was the Austin. The cars were to pay royalities to the Austin company of England. The American Austin never did. I don't know if the Germans did.

ronbarn
Paul Ianuario is the Director for the BMW museum in South Carolina. Last time I was there, they had a Dixi. Am sure he would be able to give you some advice. Contact me at ronbarn@mindspring.com and I will give you his phone and address.
