This will be data collection post over the next few weeks.

I need the distance from the centre of the FrONT wheel to the bottom edge of the fender wheel opening at the top of the opening. OR, to put it another way: Measure from the centre of the FRONT wheel STRAIGHT UP to the edge of the fender.

My '56 Clipper is 12.4" on right side and 12.6" on left side. The difference may be because it's not sitting on level ground, since the left side is setting a little higher (yard slopes where it is parked). That's with the T-L about mid point of it's travel. I doubt the T-L position effects the height of front much tho.

My 1955 Pat is 13-3/4 on both sides with the car level (bottom of rear fender skirt thru center of rear wheel).

Remember that I have adjustable links in the front. When I installed them I raised the car from where it had originally "sagged", so that "the distance from the floor to the flat section near the outer edge of the body sill directly below the center post" is 10-in per STB 55T-1 dated Jan 17, 1955.

Since the dimension requested is from top of fender opening to centre of wheel then the tyre size is independent of the measurement and has no meaning nor effect.

Okay, PackardV8

Tell us why You are Asking?

What kind of measurements are you getting?

Should I Order a 6" 'Sky-Jacker' Lift-kit, or Not ?

Here are some data for you to collect, however phony the measurements are:

8oox15- center of axle to floor 13.5 inches at 32psi

800x15- " " " to tire edge 7.5 inches

800x15- tire inside diameter to tire outside diameter, measured at the 90 degree position is 7.0. The overall width of the tire is 8.5 inches with 5.250 inches across the tread. Where does one get 8 eight inches in any part of the above designation? A reasonable question. Pul-ease, let's keep our minds out of the gutter as some have it and some probably don't.
