6inarow
I need to find a locking gascap for a 25 Dodge. The normal gas cap was screw on type I think. I want to use the other gas tank opening for the cap. The opening has four cutouts for tangs to fit in but no way to secure anything as far as I can tell. Thanks
Notch
I think that the threaded hole is for the fuel gadge, not a gas cap.

Guest imported_RAH
Two things I note in your query. One, I believe you mention a 'Locking cap'? I know of no such thing in the accessories catalogs that would work for that year. Second, I believe you are looking for a very rare cap. The earlier caps were indeed screw on with fine threads. Somewhere around '25 they switched to a 'Quarter turn' cap with several tangs on the filler neck that caught on indents in the cap. This was eventually replaced by the more familiar cap with kind of a bowtie projection in the cap that fit inside curved lips in the filler neck. I have seen locking caps for the later. Yes, the smaller threaded projection would be for the fuel gauge.Rodger "Dodger" Hartley
kd4gfy
Found a locking gas cap at Auto Zone. Dont remember the part number but I just looked at the ones they had available and found one that worked.
