The bolt looks like a carriage bolt that has 2 flat sides, and the socket # is J-5500 from GM. This fits at least my 56, but probably many others too. Have a spare? Thanks! Bhigdog Posted July 11, 2005 Share Posted July 11, 2005 Start with a 3/4" SQUARE socket ( made for square nuts ) With a die grinder and a tapered stone grind the opposite two sides of the cavity round leaving two sides flat.
