1968 Toronado

The nature of my trouble is a front wheel noise that occurs one time per tire revolution. The noise makes the sound of a rock imbedded in the tread of the tire as it passes over a hard surface, yet much louder. There are no rocks in the tread! I have replaced both CV Joints but the problem persists. What am I overlooking in this one? Please excuse my noise description as it's a difficult one to describe. Any thoughts. confused.gif [color:\\"red\\"]

First, rotate tires front-to-back and see if noise goes away or moves to the rear of the car. If that doesn't isolate the noise, it sounds like a front axle hub bearing. They're available, but expensive and specific to 1966-68.

Just to be sure, there are no rocks in the wheel covers or wheels? You might want to listen around the final drive too.
