Magnolia Posted June 10, 2005 Share Posted June 10, 2005 Can anyone out there tell me what rear wheel drive transmission will mate up with an Aurora 4.0 V8. Yes I realize that most of the forum is directed at the earlier models but if it helps I want to put the Aorora V8 in a 61 Buick Lesabre. Any help is appreciated! rocketraider Posted June 12, 2005 Share Posted June 12, 2005 There are no direct bolt-ons, but it's not difficult to modify a TH350 or 400 case to bolt to the Northstar. Seems like it involves relocating one bolt ear. The green custom '23 roadster that the factory has (had? DK since Olds is no more) had Northstar power mated to a RWD trans.You could probably adapt your baby DynaFlow to it, but the Northstar might kill it pretty quick. I think it will be really cool!By the way I guess I should let you also know I have three Auroras, a 67 Cutlass two door hardtop and the 61 Lesabre.
