Howdydo!<P>Has anyone put a new computer chip in a Reatta? Just curious.<BR> <A HREF="http://www.superchips.com/" TARGET=_blank>http://www.superchips.com/</A> <P>Supposedly this place makes new chips for Reattas. Supposed to improve performance, drivability, etc. But I'm pretty skeptical about putting in a new chip in this collectible. It's fine for a one of a million Honda, but I don't know about a rare Reatta.<BR>

I have a FastChip in mine from <A HREF="http://www.fastchip.com" TARGET=_blank>www.fastchip.com</A> I have been running it since December in my '89. I also use a K&N replacement air filter. With the chip I now require HiTest gas (93 octane), but the car has noticably improved performance (peppier). Though not a scientific analysis, I am happy with it.<BR>Good Luck

I agree with "Rong", I have a Fastchips also. They are also less expensive than Superchips. If you want to experiment a little, like I did, you can get the timing curve advanced about four degrees more if you run 93 octane and a 160 thermostat. If you run the cooler thermostat you can get the timing more advanced and the fan code changed to engage at a lower temperature for the same price as their "standard" 91 octane chip.
