xschx
i had bought a 4 barrel carb intake a few years back for my 322 nailhead. is there a way to adapt a newer carb like a holley to this? the bolt hole pattern is smaller. actually the whole carb is smaller it looks like as an after market air cleaner won't even fit the top of it. because of this i was going to just leave my 2 barrel on and get a better carb on that but it seems like that hole pattern is smaller than that of a newer 2 barrel carb as well. i am not sure about that as i don't have another carb to compare against is but i have other 4 barrels laying around. carbking
There are adapters available, but they change the air-flow, and don't work that well. Unless you have made MAJOR changes to the engine (camshaft, headers, compression, etc.) why not locate an original carb? That way you have the correct calibration AND everything fits.Jon.
