charlie1
My local Pep Boys is blowing out cases of Regular Quaker state for $1.09 per quart. 10w 30 or 5w 30.Since in addition to my high mileage Riviera we have two Northstars that use 7.5 quarts per oil change. Was thinking about buying about 4 cases But would like to hear some comments on Quaker state.ThanksCharlie
Guest EDBS0
Hi Charlie;I have always thought that Pennsylvania crude was some of the purest to come out of the ground and did not require lots of processing. Don't know for certain but it may be called "sweet" crude versus a very rough "Bunker" type of crude. Then there is the additive package. Probably the best and it meets all the SAE standards go for it.
Guest imported_barra
I am from Pennsylvania and the arguement was always whether Pennzoil or Quaker State was the better oil. The basis of the discussion was always " good Pennsylvania crude motor oil". I never heard of anyone losing an engine to Quaker State products. So, the price is right.
