JWalker
Check out two pictures of Jake's 41 coupe in the new Mark LT brochures at your local Lincoln dealership. These are the same photos shown in the recent club magazine of Jake's car on a trailer being towed by the Lincoln pickup. There is also a large banner hanging in the local dealership with the same photo, does anyone have connections with their dealer to get one of those banners? If so please let me know. imported_Phil Knapp
I've seen that same poster at the Lincoln dealer here in Austin. I doubt that there's much chance of any of us getting our sticky paws on it - too bad!I wonder why they made Jake drive all the way from Dallas for the pictures when I have a respectable 1939 Zephyr convertible right here in Austin! Probably because his car is black.Check out the AACA Museum home page at:http://www.aacamuseum.org/home.php
CBoz
Yeah, who's crusty old Zephyr is that in the upper corner of the AACA Museum home page? And why couldn't they have gotten a pic of a *real* classic??
imported_Phil Knapp
Good question, Cecil. They certainly must have lots of photos of more prestigious classic cars in their files, but they chose a lowly Lincoln Zephyr. (In my view, an EXCELLENT choice!) The fact that it's one of only fifteen or so known to exist might have been a factor.
imported_Phil Knapp
Jake Fleming was at the LCOC regional meet at the Stagecoach Inn in Salado, Texas on April 9, 2005. Jake has acquired a banner of his car and the Lincoln Mark LT truck on the Loop 360 bridge in Austin (see attachment). More Salado photos can be seen at:http://community.webshots.com/album/318619120FwfIgD
