Matt Harwood
Hi guys,I'm trying to put my heater and defroster back together and get them on the "finished" shelf. My original heater motor worked, but was noisy and nothing I did quieted it down. So I bought an NOS heater motor on Ebay and couldn't get it to spin (I'm using a rectifier to power them with 6V). So I bought a second NOS motor, again on Ebay, and it doesn't spin, either. At this point, I'm guessing that I'm the dummy and that two NOS motors can't be broken. Here's the problem: there are two wires (+ and ground) on my original motor and three on each of the replacements (red, yellow, black). Does anyone know how to wire one of these replacement motors? I got nothin'.Thanks for any advice you can offer!
Nick_S
get a good 6v battery and use that. the new 3 wire motor will prob have black wire for ground and the two other wires for high and low speeds. the orig motor only has two wires because the switch had different, resistance of sorts, that controlled the speed. same with the defroster motor. give it a shot or send them over
