cochran Posted January 26, 2005 Share Posted January 26, 2005 DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A ADAPTER PLATE THAT WILL ADAPT A SMALL BLOCK CHEVY TO THE AUTOMATIC TRANS IN MY 55 BUICK , I REALLY WANTED TO USE THE BUICK MOTOR BUT THERE ARE TO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH IT . Guest John Chapman Posted January 28, 2005 Share Posted January 28, 2005 You'd be far better off to find a replacement Buick motor. They're available and far easier to install than the SBC. There are no adaptors for Chevy to Buick... which means an SBC-compatible transmission... which won't work with the torque tube... which means you wind up replacing the entire driveline.
