Just Bill
Restoring a 36 Plymouth woody, 1 of 3 that we know of, poor condition but improving. My question is about the front suspension, or part of it. On the front drivers side spring, rear spring perch there is a strange looking arangement for anchoring the rear of the spring, not just a simple bolt arrangement like the other side. Can anyone tell me about this?? Purpose?? Very complicated way to anchor a spring.
Guffin
It is a Shock Eliminator found on most old cars with stiff front axle. Its purpose is to minimize the effect of road bumps on the steering wheel.Jan
Just Bill
Thanks, that is what I thought it might be. Kind of an anti-bump steer device???
