Guest D. Yaros
Am wondering if anyone has found an outlet/facijlity with the capability of restoring or replacing the infamous starlight (sponge/foam rubber) headliner used by Olds in the 1960 (and later) model years? If so, please enlighten me. I would hate to have to put a cloth/vinyl headliner in its place.Thanks,DaveDYaros@voyager.net [color:\\"blue\\"]
rocketraider
Dave- if it's out there, I haven't seen or heard about it.My best advice until it's available is to use the star pattern headliner material Chevrolet and Pontiac used. You could possibly use the sponge grain vinyl headlining material that Ford used in the early 60s, if you could get it cut to a GM pattern. Guest D. Yaros
Glenn,Thanks for the quick comeback. Not what I wanted to hear, but ... . Perhaps, the unavailibility is a reason one sees little-to-no 60 Olds activity in the OCA?
faderwars
www.supercar.comthey list a headliner in their available parts for 1960 oldsand they say it is made of original material and patterns and comes with extra to cover the visors...i would call them to make sure first though.-jeremy
