Guest
I have a pair of grills, casting number 1174203rt, and 1174203lt. Seems strange to have the same casting numbers.
Anyhow, they are definately 1957 Buick. I see that according to a Buick parts book, series 40/60 and 50/70 grills are listed as being different.
I have looked at numerous pictures, and can see no difference. Any information as to what the difference's are, would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance. DW
DugsSin
D.W. the difference between the series is in the width of the pieces. Roadmaster/Supers are wider.
Doug Updike BCA# 33850
The Old Guy
I am just taking a stab in the dark, but it is possible that they are the left and right hand parts to the same grille.
Guest
If size is the difference, I will list the dimensions, maybe someone can verify. The grill portion which you see on one grill is 28 3/4 inches. If you measure the mounting ear, it is 30 1/4 inches. These measurements are the width of one grill.
OldGuy,
Yes this is a pair, but generally right and left parts have different casting numbers.
I appreciate your input.
