19?? LeSabre... I need to know.

Yesterday I saw a two door LeSabre with a roofline that sloped fastback-style right down the back bumper. What year is that? I've googled, but come up empty.

It was parked on the street and I didn't have time to look too closely, but it was the coolest car I've seen in quite some time. Cool enough that I might want one.

The badges definitely said LeSabre and there was something else under LeSabre that might have been "400" but I'm not sure about that part.

From that sparse bit of info, can anybody help?

Mike, the style that you describe was used on the 1967 and 1968 LeSabre 2-door hardtop. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate any clear images of the LeSabre 2-door models for those years, but the Wildcat utilized the same body from the cowl back. These links show original factory photos of 1967 and 1968 Wildcats, so these should look very similar to the car you saw.

RSmith, great job of finding a '67 LeSabre 2-door hardtop photo. And the car advertised in your link has the seldom-seen bucket seat option for the LeSabre. One of the teachers in my elementary school had a beautiful '67 LeSabre 2-door with the bucket seats like this car does.
