Jay and Pat
I am wondering what, if anything, the 5 amp breaker under the dash of a '53 Patrician has to do with the operation of the turn signals as mine don't work, front or back, left or right, but when I switch one on, the gas gauge and/or temp gauge react by slowly receding. Has anybody in here had this or a similar problem. I have done all of the grounding tests that have been suggested including isolation of the whole signal system as I know it. But that might not be complete. Any help would be appreciated, thanks. LeRaysville Dude, Jay Hennigan
Guest Albert
the power for the Signals comes off the circuit breaker closest to the clock, check for power on the dark blue wire on the flasher unit. do your break lights work? could be the flasher unit or the signal switch, another thing to check is the lightbulbs, odd thing on the packards is the right sid will not flash if the left front lamp is burnt out or has a poor ground and vice versa.
