Juha Paavo Kaita
HiOur local veteran car club owns a very original Chrysler Newport from 1962. Now we need to do a brake overhaul for the car. We need new brake drum (both front and rear), brake shoes (front, rear and parking brake) and power brake booster (the booster now on the car is not original type and is broken). Can any of you tell me where these parts could be found? Any information is greatly appreciated. The grille frame is also broken and it would be nice to get solid one on the car. It it still available somewhere?Best wishes from FinlandJuha KaitanenTurku, Finland
Pontiac59
Drums: Western US salvage yards best betShoes: Napa may have them, can also try KanterMaster Cyl: Salvage yardGrille: I could probably get one but I'd have to buy a whole car to get it. I know where there are a couple of decent parts cars, which would probably also have your booster. Drums around here are usually about welded to the shoes with rust from sitting though. You might also visit www.forwardlook.net for more help on this one -
