George Miller
I am considering purchasing a 1947 Ford Super Deluxe. This car is being sold by Auto Gallery Museum in Spring Grove, IL. The car is claimed to be a one owner car that was taken in trade by a downstate IL Ford Dealer 25 to 30 years ago. The car is claimed to be completely original. I've read that all 1947 Ford Super Deluxes hav either a gray or blue interior. The pictures this car's interior looks tan to me. Does the interior in the attched photos look original? Thanks for your help,George Miller
Guest BillP
Hello George, I had a 47 Super Deluxe Convertible with known original interior. It was tan, and as I recall (might be wrong on this) there were leatherette panels covering the top third or so of the seat tops (where your shoulder blades go) and maybe also the same thing on the seat cushion where the inside of your knees would go but I'm not sure. Tan cloth on the rest that was worn out and my mom fixed (that part for sure). From your photo, that looks like a replacement job on the seats but maybe original on the interior panels.
