jpage Posted May 27, 2004 Share Posted May 27, 2004 I'm not sure you're talking about removing the shaft from the switch or taking the plastic knob off the shaft. To remove the shaft on the headlamp switch just push up on the slider in the switch. For the dash lamp switch,insert a large paperclip into the hole near the dash on the switch and push in while pulling out the knob. Now for the knobs.. they are not available new,as they are cast on the shaft. They can be very hard to remove and you don't want to damage the rings or letters.
