Gary Frank
90 Coupe: The driver?s side door will not open. The good news is that the door panel was already off. I have removed every part that I can without opening the door and have determined that the plastic arm that the opening linkage lifts up has broken off. I am at a loss and have not a clue what to do now. Maybe there is a secret that someone can share with me. The car has anew paint job and carpet, if this would have happened with the door panels on, well I don?t want to think about it. If I remove the rear interior panels can I unloosen the latch post from the frame.
Gary Frank
I managed to use a long skinny screwdriver and unlatch the lock and now need a new lock-latch assembly. Has this happen to others or am I the first as usual. Thanks Gary Frank
ESTAVER
I repaired mine by making a substitute from a heavy plastic ty-wrap. I had to trim the wide sides down to fit into the hole but its been working for 5 or so years.
