surfkurf
Hello all,
I just picked up a set of Buick Chrome wheels for my 72 Convertible. One of the rims is missing the small metal ring on the inside of the wheel. Is this ring needed? What purpose does it serve? Maybe just to line up the bolts?
Also, there is minor rust around the bead in spots. I assume that I need to correct this or the tire may leak. Can this be done? What is the best way?
Thanks
Joe
Guest
I dont think the inside ring is important.I have had many of these wheels and they dont usually have the ring.Clean the rust off with a wire brush and put a coat of tire sealer on when mounting the tire.
