Guest imported_1972455U
72 Cutlass with Rocket Rally Pac. Tic Toc Tac Clock works but tach doesn't. I pulled the unit and found that the one wire attached to the right (passenger side when installed) terminal on the back of the unit was unattached on the other end. Suspect this is the problem but don't know where or what it's supposed to be attached to. Chassis Service Manual didn't help me. Can anyone help this electrical illiterate? Guest imported_1972455U
I figured it out. Tach had a bad fuse holder and wire to the coil was damaged. Mystery wire was spliced onto the clock lead so there were actually two wires, lord knows what the extra was used for, I eliminated it. After fixing the tach lead wire, fuse holder and making a new clock lead it Tics Tocs and Tacs. On to the next project.
