Jyrki
I got new mechanical valve lifters from Bob's Automobilia. These lifters have a hole in the side, just above the pushrod seat. My 1946 Roadmaster original lifters don't have them. What's the benefit from the hole?
Guest Chrome
Could it be better oilflow?
palbuick
I do believe that the 46 RM had solid lifters, and the hydraulic lifters were not available until 1948/49. Both solid and Hydrauic lifters for the Buick Motors are very hard to find NEW.<P>JIm Schilf / palbuick@aol.com
Jyrki
Yes, both my 46 lifters and the new ones I got are solid lifters, but the new ones have a hole in the side
