our51super
Hello all,
I was wondering what's involved in converting a 6 Volt system to a 12 Volt? What are the added benefits and what are the drawbacks?
I don't think I want to do it on our 51 but I was always curious about this subject matter.
Oh by the way, I have been searching for a 6 volt cooling fan for a while and I finally came across a place that caries them. For anyone interested here's the companies info:
Scotts Cooling Fans
For FREE catalog call:
800-272-3267
Thanks,
The Old Guy
I have owned my 40 Buick for 30 years and have never had a reason to convert it . I do have some modified buicks ,but the 40 works just fine on 6 volts. There is an old adage"If it aint broke ,don't fix it " and I think that applies in this case. Guest
Our 1942 FARMALL "CUB"was a failure until we bought a "FARMMASTER" 8 volt battery'Now we can pull a bigger plow, and it will start even when it almost freezes.Just put an 8 volt battery in it and ALL your troubles will be over!
