The Old Guy Posted October 3, 2001 Share Posted October 3, 2001 i was told that the only difference between the A and E body engines was the cam and distributor. The E body cam had three grooves behind the front journal and was ground to give more bottom end as the car was heavier. the distributor also had a different curve.The A bidy cam had one groove and was designed to just haze the stock tires.
