I GOT TWO PICKUP LOADS OF PARTS, HALF 330 AND HALF 350 I GUESS, HAVING A HECK OF A TIME ASSEMBLING, ANY GURUS OUT THERE TO HELP ID WHAT I GOT TO WORK WITH.

ALSO THE WATER PUMP HAS TWO OUTLETS, ONE TO HEATER AND ONE TO THERMOSTAT, WHERE DO I GET BACK INTO THE MOTOR FROM THE HEATER, SOUNDS DUMB BUT I CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING OTHER THAN ONE OPEN PORT IN THE UPPER LEFT HAND TOP OF MOTOR, DOESNT SEEM RIGHT TO ME, BUT THERES ANOTHER TRUCKLOAD OF OPTIONS FOR PARTS.

DONT GET ME WRONG I ENJOY A CHALLENGE, ANDY

www.442.com and go to the tech pages/engine.

There's a port at right rear of the intake manifold that is where hot coolant from engine goes to the heater core. It returns to the water pump via the nipple you mentioned. The bypass hose helps warmup and allows some coolant circulation if the thermostat fails closed.

Starting around 1975, some cars returned coolant from the heater core to the RH radiator tank.
