StevieG
I have what I always thought was a 1930 DD. 4dr sedan. the body tag says " DD SED 883" made by Budd.Serial # is 9450040 (Canadain I think)My DD has side mounted spare tires on each side, and trunk holder in the back. I have not seen any other DD like this.So is it a 1930 DD or something else.
yirgaman
According to my books.....there were DD's built and sold in 1930 and 1931 model years. The production of DD stopped in May of 1931. The Canadian built DD's began with serial number 9450001 and ended with 9450800. The Standard Catalog of American Cars says that the 1931 models had Delco Remy ignition systems and the new radiator emblem contained a "slanting" Dodge 6. It also says there were 33,342 4 dr 5 passenger sedans built in 1930. there should be another one out there somewhere.Larry
JB-ed
If it's the sidemounts and trunk rack that bother you, consider that they possibly are options. For the 28 Victory these were included in the "sport" trim option along with other upgrades in paint and upholstery. These may make your car quite desireable! Not to mention beautiful.
