I'm trying to find out how many "Bobtail's" remain in service.If you send the serial number, model and condition (0 being unusable and 10being showroom new) along with your e-mail address I'll let you know how manyI've found. Guest Posted September 5, 2003 Share Posted September 5, 2003 GSTURBO,Thank you for your reply, maybe you have one? A Bobtail Buick was madein 1939 (I think between Aug. 1938 and Feb. 1939). What it amounts tois a cost cutter on the frame. Buick thought they could save some moneyby making a 3/4 frame which stopped at just about the center of the rearwheel. Regarding a bulletin,there have been things called "Silent Recall", that's where "fixes"are taken care of on an individual basis.
