Ray Mahony Posted August 28 Share Posted August 28 Can anyone tell me exactly when the multi disc=clutch was used in the DB cars. I know both the 15 and 16 used an aluminium gear casing; one with acone clutch and one with a multi-disc. I have measured chassis depths for both cars and the 16 is bigger, but I have a 15 with a multi-disc clutch. this leads me to think that the Multi clutch was introduces some time before 1916. does anyone have an exact date. Mark Gregush Posted August 28 Share Posted August 28 From the master parts book: The multi disk clutch started between cars 63361 and 66151 which would be sometime between March and May 1916 up to sometime in 1926. I have a 1917 block with aluminum bellhousing/crankcase that the numbers match between the two, it has multi disk clutch. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
