FS For Sale 1948 Buick Roadmaster - Part of a restoration or parts car

Recommended Posts

I have a 1948 Buick Roadmaster for sale.  This car sat in concrete floor storage for approximately 40 years, possibly more.  Over that time and after, parts were harvested, so it's not a complete car.

The good things:

1. It runs.  This is the 320 CI motor

2. Transmission (Dynaflow) appears to work.  It's on blocks, and when you put it in gear the rear wheels rotate.

3. Floor pan is relatively intact. No holes through floor.

4. It shows oil pressure when running.

5. Starter seems strong.

6. Generator seems to work.

7. What's left of the car is pretty intact.

8. The hood is pretty straight and without significant rust.

The bad things:

1. No interior.

2. No rear fenders.

3. No dash.

4. Roof is bent.  The blue roof was harvested to repair a 46 Buick.  The car you get is the car with the grey roof.  The other pictures (with the blue roof)were included to show condition of the hood and other parts.

5. Both rear doors are incomplete.  The rails above the windows are missing.  Used to restore the 46.

The I don't knows:

1. I have not (yet) tested the block for leaks.  The cooling system was dry when I acquired the car, so I suspect it's OK.

2. I do not know the mileage on the car.

$3000 (or best offer) for the car as you see it in the pictures with the grey roof.  I can send more pictures and/or video if you are serious about purchase.

Located near Menomonie Wisconsin. Can deliver the car at a cost.  Payment will be made in full before delivery.
