Guest
I am putting a new clutch in my 1970 Cutlass - 4 speed. There are two ways to go... $150 for a new OEM type or Hayes for $260. Both are kits with the bearing, pressure plate, etc. I have the 350-4V. I have no plans for the drags. Do I "get what I pay for?" Thanks. <img src="http://www.aaca.org/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />
rocketraider
Is the OEM type in fact new or a reman? I'd go for new parts if possible. A clutch job isn't something you want to do very often. The Hays may be a little stiffer than factory, but won't be bad.
Guest
The OEM is new. Thanks for the reply. I heard the Hayes may have the same pedal pressure more durability.
