SOLD: Large Black and Nickel Bulb Horn Assembly from 1911-1914

Recommended Posts

SOLD to Jim in New York. 6/16/24

This is a very nice, early black and nickel bulb horn assembly that is from 1911 through 1914'ish. It is complete with the horn, horn mounting bracket, tubes, tube bracket, reed, etc. The horn itself is about 4 1/2" wide by 9" tall and the tubing is about 50" long. The horn appears to be original including the paint and the nickel plating which is excellent. There are no dents, etc. It can be used on a right or left hand drive car. It is excellent condition and might even be new old stock. It blows loud too!

The price is 450.00 including FedEx Ground shipping/insurance in  the USA. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Email directly at motoringicons@hotmail.com or call 734-730-4274

Thanks.

  • motoringicons changed the title to SOLD: Large Black and Nickel Bulb Horn Assembly from 1911-1914

This horn arrived today and am I tickled. Thanks Guy !
We have also successfully sourced a nickel Solar tail light and a lovely pair of nickel Grey and Davis sidelights from this forum or on the HCCA ad pages.
All this for our 1912 Babcock Touring.
It came to us missing a horn and with all brass brass, rather than nickeled brass.  Everyone I dealt with has made reasonable concessions in price, packed the items well and were a joy to talk with. It’s too bad there is

seldom time to go back and say Thank You again……

So, that leaves only a set of nickel gas headlights to be found.  I’m asking for your help. Does anyone have or know of a pair of 7.25 inch fork width c/c, nickel gas headlamps available ?

The lamps that came with the car will

be for sale. The sidelights, believe it or not, I think are legit flared door rim, early E&J’s of the 1907, 08, 09 era. Might be just right for early T’s ?

The pictures will tell the story. But wouldn’t you know it ? one lamp has a minor dent smack dab on top in the lettering. Oh well. The headlights I haven’t really looked at yet……

Where is that non Show, just right pair of nickel headlights ??

Hello Jim- I am glad you like the horn. It is always a good feeling to sell a good part that goes on a great car. I remember the Babcock when it was owned by Ralph DeAngelis in Stamford, CT. It is a great car. Enjoy! Thanks.
