Long overdue 29' Buick light

Had bits and pieces of this laying in a box for some time half finished. Decided to get it all together and see if she still worked. Yes, there is a crack in the bottom glass. The chrome plating was far past saving so I had to bring the ring down to brass. I also have an extra ring for this. And there was a monstrous pitting area on the side I sanded down quite a bit but could still go further. Fortunately its not all the way eaten through so when chrome plating day comes I will sand it down and fill it. Any advice on this part?
