Type Of Transport Ranked Cheapest To Most Expensive:

1) Open - multi-vehicle - indirect

2) Semi-enclosed - multi-vehicle      indirect (fabric sides)

3) Enclosed - multi-vehicle      indirect (hard sides)

4) Open - single vehicle - indirect  

5) Open - single vehicle - direct  

6) Enclosed - single vehicle - indirect  

7) Enclosed - single vehicle - direct

 

The cheapest method of vehicle transport is open - multi-vehicle indirect which necessitates driving a vehicle on and off a trailer and storing it outside in yards between trailer transfers.

 

The most expensive method of vehicle transport is direct enclosed which involves (usually) dealing directly with the person driving the tow vehicle pulling the trailer that has your vehicle in it - the vehicle goes directly from pick up to drop off.
