Guest Posted May 20, 2003 Share Posted May 20, 2003 Dangerious steering column, Has anyone had this problem...My reatta's tilt wheel does not lock into place, and also is loose and can move from right to left. There was a pin that came lose on the left hand side of the steering wheel, if the pin is jamed in with a hammer the tilt wheel works and starts fine, but eventually the steering wheel will become lose and will not start unless you push the steering wheel to the left and start it. When the pin is in the tilt will work fine, but will have to pull the pin out and push steering wheel to the left to start. While the car is running, and I push wheel to left the car will shut off, very dangerious beach2112@aol.com Do I need a new steering column of is there a repar kit. Thank you for any help.
